Cookies & Coloring
Teacher: Karen Alleman
Times: 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Ages: Kindergarten – 6th grade
Cookies & Coloring is a free class (generously supported by our members and donors) geared for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade, accompanied by a parent or guardian. Come enjoy an afterschool snack of cookies with friends and spend time learning about a famous work of art. Each week, a Charlotte Mason-inspired interactive lesson is offered, highlighting an artist and one of their works. Children are also given a project idea to do at home and coloring pages related to the artist. Close out your week with this fun and enriching free class!
Upcoming Dates: November 10 & December 8
Have a drink with friends of The Art Center at the Baylor Club! The Baylor Club does a monthly series of Helping Hands Happy Hours and August is our month. Free hors d'oeuvres and great drink specials! Cash tips benefit the mission of the Art Center to promote the arts in central Texas through educational programs, exhibitions and collections.
Anyone can come, whether or not you are a member of the Baylor Club or of the Art Center. There will be signature cocktails, live music by Chuck Jennings, live painting by Erika Huddleston (whose Art Center Exhibition opens in November), and artworks on display by Trisstah Wagstaff.
This is a great chance to catch the views from the Baylor Club and get to know Art Center staff, board, and other friends better. Happy Hour is open to the public, so bring your friends!
