Session 2 Beginning Drawing with Greg Lewallen: Chiaoroscuro Principles of Light on Form

For this 3-workshop series, Greg will lead a group in Chiaroscuro drawing techniques, using strong light and dark to make a 2-dimensional image seem almost 3-dimensional. This is the second session, for Saturday, May 18. Please register for the class below, either for individual sessions or the whole series

The Art Center of Waco's signature champagne luncheon benefit, which includes featured artists, a silent auction, and spectacular tablescapes. The 2019 theme is “Building a Legacy,” which you will be helping with by purchasing tickets & enjoying a fabulous luncheon!

Takes place on Thursday, March 21 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Baylor Club at McLane Stadium, 1001 South MLK Jr. Boulevard, Waco 76704.

No physical tickets will be given; reserve your tickets online and just give us your name at the door!

Studio Art is open for youth in grades 7th-9th on Monday nights, 6:00-7:30 p.m. Students enrolled in this series will delve into a variety of 2D (drawing and painting) techniques under the tutelage of a current Baylor University art student, John Singletary. Enrollment is limited in order to provide individual instruction and accommodations for teenagers of all skill levels. Prior registration required. Series Dates: February 25, March 4, March 18, and March 25. (Please note: Monday, March 11 class will not meet since it is during Spring Break.)

We're having a giant "all donations accepted" garage sale on Tuesday, November 27! From 10 am to 2:30 pm we will be at the Art Center's old building on the MCC campus and EVERYTHING MUST GO! Bring a few dollars, or many, and even if you don't have anything to give, you'll be doing us a favor by taking stuff off our hands.

We will also be selling memberships! Help us build a legacy and our new building, by donating your stuff, your money, or become involved through volunteering or membership.

If you are decluttering in preparation for Xmas or having people over for Thanksgiving, we will take your stuff! Bring it to 1300 College Drive and if we're not there, just leave it on the little red porch and we'll put it to good use for you.
